In an effort to reach out to the residents of Anne Arundel County the LSO organized two performing groups; the Londontowne Brass and the Londontowne Strings. These groups perform in community settings such as the Westfield Mall Christmas Program and at local retirement facilities and county senior centers. This effort has been very successful in that a myriad of community residents are able to experience quality live music first-hand and in a variety of venues. The musicians in both groups are highly seasoned professionals, and regular members of the LSO. Their repertoire includes an array of music that spans from the Baroque period to contemporary and includes pop tunes and musicals.
